About Passage

Saturday, April 11, 2026
6:30pm | Lyons Farmette
Lyons, Colorado

Passage is an honest dive into the beautiful, arduous, and revelatory journey from origin to becoming. Featuring an all-woman ensemble of dancers and musicians, the performance weaves together original choreography by Jen Campbell with the music of Antonio Vivaldi, Maurice Ravel, Ljova, and India Arie. Through a fusion of music, poetry, dance, and song, Passage explores how we navigate the exquisite transitions of life—finding light in darkness, joy in sorrow, and beauty in chaos. Inspired by the sentiment “I contain multitudes,” join us for an evening that celebrates the complexity of the human spirit.

Ensemble:

Jen Campbell
choreographer, dancer

Jen Campbell is a dancer, choreographer, performer and teacher based in Carbondale. She graduated with a BA in Dance from the University of CO and has performed in companies in the Washington DC area, where she lived for many years, and here in the RFV. A creative at heart, she is so grateful to be collaborating with BenFeng music, MinTze Wu and these many talented artists. When she’s not dancing, she’s busy with her kids and dog, teaching yoga or Pilates or wandering through these beautiful mountains.

MinTze Wu
artistic director, violin, piano

MinTze Wu is a violinist of many passions, and a visionary with illuminating artistry. A native of Taiwan and deeply rooted in the richness of chamber music, MinTze expands from the tradition and explores new possibilities of experiencing music as performing art. Infused with spirit, precision, and soulfulness, MinTze has founded Sounds of Lyons and BenFeng Music Productions, and serves as Executive & Artistic Director of VOICES 2022.

Shannon Pennell
vocals

Shannon Pennell's vocal landscape is a vast one. Spanning terrain from jazz to classical to free and soulful improvisation. She makes herself at home in any music that moves her regardless of genre. Sometimes that is singing tight bluegrass harmonies on a friend’s front porch in her hometown of Lyons, Colorado. Shannon sang with Boulder's Ars Nova Singers for nearly 20 years as both a choir member and soloist. She has also been a part of the Sounds of Lyons, Carbondale Arts, and BenFeng Music Productions. As of late, you can find her rambling about with her husband in their campervan joyously belting out tunes on the open road.

Enion Pelta-Tiller
fadolin, vocals, composer

Enion Pelta-Tiller’s music is mythic. Her songs are a major arcana that help make meaning of the wild world around us. In them, you might meet a heroine at the dawn of the apocalypse, a talking robin, or an advice-giving river. Enion's violin and voice have taken her all over the globe, from Amsterdam's Concertgebouw to NPR's Tiny Desk to perform with artists like Linda Ronstadt, Mark O'Connor, and Sean Jones. She is featured guest on Darol Anger’s 2025 album, “Diary of a Fiddler 2,” and a recent soloist with the Boulder Philharmonic. Enion teaches jazz and roots fiddle and songwriting at CU Boulder and CU Denver.

Alyson Boell-Marchand
dancer

Alyson Boell-Marchand is an investigator of movement and thrives on exploring what it is to be human in art and dance making. Alyson is a dance artist, Pilates instructor, dance educator, and is a proud mom of two amazing kids; Leon and Magnolia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography from California Institute of the Arts in 2002 and spent many years choreographing, dancing and making multimedia work in Los Angeles with her husband Alexander Marchand. Alyson’s work is often steeped in somatic expression with some theatricality sprinkled in. She and her family named Carbondale home 8 years ago. She is so honored to work with this gifted ensemble of artists.

Vicki Tobia
dancer

Vicki graduated from the University of Michigan with a BFA in Dance in 1989 and subsequently moved to NYC to pursue a dance career. She danced with a variety of choreographers throughout the 1990’s most notably Fiona Marcotty, Aviva Geismar and Laura Staton. Vicki and her husband moved to Chapel Hill, NC where she gave birth to two beautiful boys, Liam and Aidan, and where she completed her full Pilates certification through Stott Pilates. They moved to Essex, CT where they owned and operated a Pilates and yoga studio for 8 years before moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2014.
